The organization had to change its central IT service provider and at the same time bring key IT services back in-house. This required not only relocating the data center, but also analyzing, reallocating, and restructuring all IT services to build a sustainable future mode of operation (FMO).

Particularly demanding was the migration of sensitive datasets, from backups and SAP to non-SAP systems, including the oscare® core system. The project had to meet strict data-protection and IT-security requirements while managing complex dependencies between processes, timelines, and stakeholders.

In parallel, internal capabilities and structures had to be built without interrupting services for policyholders, physicians, and healthcare providers.

We first carried out a full analysis of the existing data center and a feasibility study for the planned transition.

The project was rated technically feasible and economically viable.

In the realization phase, we assumed overall project management.

With a structured approach, targeted technical expertise, and close cooperation with the client, we coordinated all subprojects, managed dependencies, and enforced a consistent project-management framework.

All systems and data were migrated without disruption, integrated into the new FMO, and put into live operation.

The transition improved operational stability and increased the long-term cost efficiency of the IT landscape.
