30 Years of KH-IT: Three Decades Dedicated to Digitalisation

On 16 and 17 September, KH-IT will be holding its autumn conference and, at the same time, celebrating its 30th anniversary in Berlin. For many years, the event has been one of the most important gatherings in the hospital IT sector. The focus will be on the future of digital healthcare and the challenges of the coming years.
Günther Giegeling, Head of Portfolio Management at LÖSUNG|N, looks back on three decades of KH-IT. He has been attending the conferences since the very first ones. He explains why meetings, networking and face-to-face conversations are often just as valuable as the technical insights. A retrospective from a personal perspective, with a look ahead.
We are looking forward to the autumn conference and will, of course, be there in person once again..
“When I look back on 30 years of KH-IT, I am also looking back on a significant part of my own professional journey.
I have been fortunate enough to have attended many KH-IT conferences since the mid-2000s and to have witnessed the development of this special event over more than two decades.
Many of the contacts I made there are still with me today.
Encounters turned into networks; conversations gave rise to ideas and collaboration. This enabled us to carry out projects together.
The conference has brought together people from hospitals, IT and consultancy, thereby creating a setting in which trust could grow. It is precisely this personal atmosphere that makes KH-IT so valuable to me. I look forward to coming back every time!
For all of this, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks and offer my congratulations on this anniversary.”
